Here comes my very first game review. This is Paraworld for the PC. It’s a real-time strategy title with dinosaur combat. If you’ve ever seen the show Dinoriders; this takes that concept and turns it into a game. A very overlooked and underrated gem for the PC.

Classic Game Room – SMART PRIZE TIME claw game review

Classic Game Room – SMART PRIZE TIME claw game review
Rating: 4
Classic Game Room HD reviews SMART PRIZE TIME, a claw prize game found at a rest stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Claw games are featured in movies like Toy Story and are a fun way to spend hard earned money on cheap toys that you don’t need. Test your skills with the claw, a weak metallic contraption that barely lifts whatever toys you grab with it. Smart Prize Time has music, a joystick, timer and a button. The game is full of toys like teddy bears and Big Bird stuffed animals. Yay! Games like Smart Prize Time can be found at rest stops, fair grounds and carnivals all over the world! Although not a traditional video game, this review reviews the Smart Prize Time machine.

Classic Game Room HD – PITFALL! for Atari 2600 review
Rating: 4
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of PITFALL! for the Atari 2600 video computer system. This is the original PITFALL for the Atari 2600, an arcade video game classic released in 1982 by Activision. Pitfall had many sequels on many systems like the Atari 5200, Sega Genesis and Sony Playstation. The game seems like a nod to Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc. You play as Pitfall Harry and traverse the jungle looking for bars of gold, currency, cash, silver and diamond rings. Don’t fall into the pits or get eaten by alligators! Old school! Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. Classic Game Room HD – EINHANDER for Playstation review Pt2

Classic Game Room HD – EINHANDER for Playstation review Pt2
Rating: 4
Part 2 of 2. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of EINHANDER for the Sony Playstation 1 (which means one hander in German). Is this the best game on the PS1? For that matter, is Einhander the best side scrolling shooter SHMUP ever made? As far as shmups go, Einhander is a maniac shooting game set in a 2d horizontal scrolling distopian future with the feel of Blade Runner. It uses 3d elements and pushed the PSX to its limits with incredible graphics, gameplay, sound and replay value. Einhander is a side scroller like Gradius III IV or V, Thunder Force or Life Force. But this game is different because it uses gunpods and the mechanized arm that controls them. It’s amazing and regarded by some as the best shooter ever made. It also has a light saber, homing missiles and a foxy announcer who teached you things in the training seminar. This game should be remade in 2008, 2009 or 2010 as a Playstation 3 PS3 game or something for Xbox Live Arcade. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room HD – BOXING for Atari 2600 review
Rating: 4
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of BOXING for the Atari 2600 VCS video game console system. Boxing was released in 1980 for the Atari by Activision. This is a one or two player game of sports combat, aka Boxing. This is a fun game and hails from the day when Rocky ruled the theater and Arcades ruled the malls. Boxing plays like a retro arcade classic today with simple yet effective gameplay. You knock out your opponent by scoring 100 points to earn a KO. This game came out years before the famous Mike Tyson’s Punchout and was loved by a generation of Atari vide game fanatics in the early 80’s who lived and breathed the old school sports titles. This is sort of the grandfather to the fighting games like Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. I wouldn’t count on seing a remake for the PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 any time soon (although the Wii has its own boxing game) Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room – BOSCONIAN arcade video game review

Classic Game Room – BOSCONIAN arcade video game review
Rating: 4
Classic Game Room reviews BOSCONIAN arcade video game by Bally Midway and Namco released in 1981. Bosconian is a top down free roam style space ship shooter that is rare to find in its original arcade videogame cabinet form because many Bosconian arcade games were turned into Galaga machines because they run on similar hardware and Galaga was more popular. Gameplay is fast and frantic as you blow up enemy space ship based and wipe out waves of space ships. Fans of top down shooters like Thunder Force 2 should hunt down some Bosconian! This CGR review of Bosconian has Bosconian arcade machine gameplay showing the Bosconian cabinet, videogame machine and game play at PAPA world headquarters.

Classic Game Room HD – WARHAWK for Playstation 3 PS3 review
Rating: 4
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of WARHAWK for the Playstation 3 PS3 video game console. This multiplayer action, shooter, tank, flying, airplane simulator run amok out of control nonstop mayhem game is loads of fun to play against hordes of other Warhawk fanatics. Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, zones and team deathmatch are just some of the exciting modes to play in. Warhawk originally used the sixaxis controller exclusively but now has a patch to use the PS3 controller in a normal mode which worked very well. They seem to be constantly updates this game with new downloadable content, levels and patches all the time. CGRHD enjoyed Warhawk very much and hopes to see more additions to it. Maybe they can have an all out brawl between Warhawk and Halo 3… that could get ugly. This game reminds us of Star Wars Battlefront and also Herzog Zwei on the Sega Genesis, sort of. Popeye Arcade and Atari 2600 Game Review

Popeye Arcade and Atari 2600 Game Review
Rating: 5
In November 1980, Nintendo developed and published Radar Scope, an early arcade game. It was a success in Japan. So Minoru Arakawa, president of Nintendo of America placed a large order for it. However, they would quickly come to realize, it was a great unsuccess. American arcade operators were unimpressed, and thousands of units went unsold. Arakawa faced a financial disaster. He pleaded his father-in-law Hiroshi Yamauchi for help. Yamauchi assigned the game’s designer Shigeru Miyamoto to fix the game, so that it would appeal to the gamers. At this time, Nintendo was trying to get a license, based on the Popeye comic strip. When this fell, they decided to come up with their own characters. Miyamoto had a lot of ideas. Bluto became an ape, known as Donkey Kong. Olive Oyl became the princess, called Pauline. Popeye became the main character, Jump Man. It was a huge success. In 1982 the arcade version of Popeye was released, developed by Nintendo and the Parker Brothers brought it to the home systems Popeye has an important place in video game history, because it was the first cartoon to be made into a video game You play as Popeye and you’re on a ship. The goal of this game is to catch all of the hearts, music notes and items dropped by Olive Oyl before they land in the water and sink. Or before Bluto knocks you overboard. There’s also the witch Sea Hag that throw bottles at you. Don’t you notice something rather peculiar. Thei’re dancing! On each level there’s a can of
